AT THE ANNUAL AGM ON FRIDAY, THERE WAS A PROPSAL FROM ELGIN SKATING CLUB THAT SUGGESTED THAT THE ELGIN SKATING CLUB AND MORAY SKATING CLUB WOULD BOTH DISSOVE AND BECOME ONE, TO BE CALLED ELGIN-MORAY SKATING CLUB. THIS WAS VOTED UNANAMOUSLY BY ALL THAT ATTENDED THE AGM.
WE WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT TO ALL OUR MEMBERS THAT THE AMALGIMATION WILL HAVE NO AFFECT ON THE RUNNING OF THE CLUB, ESPECIALLY THE FRIDAY CLUB AND EVERYTHING WILL RUN THE SAME JUST UNDER A NEW CLUB NAME WITH A LARGER COMMITTEE.
WE FEEL IT IS THE BEST WAY FORWARD FOR SKATING IN MORAY, AS WITH MORE MEMBERS THAN EVER WE ARE NEEDING MORE HELP AND SUPPORT.
THE ELGIN SKATING CLUB AGM WILL TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY 28TH MAY, IF IT IS AGREED HERE FOR THE AMLGIMATION TO GO AHEAD BOTH COMMITTEES SHALL STAND DOWN AND A NEW COMMITTEE WILL BE ELECTED UNDER THE NEW TITLE OF ELGIN-MORAY SKATING CLUB.

If you always wanted to try figure skating, and never thought you could then come along to:
Moray Skating Club.
WE OFFER THE FIRST SKATING SESSION FREE, YES FREE!!!!!!
We are based at the Moray Leisure Centre Ice Rink and when you come along you will get a Twenty minute group session with a fully qualified skating coach, and then have the rest of the time to have FUN practising and chatting to new freinds that you make.
When you do come please don´t be put off when you look at the more advanced skaters, they had to start somewhere and it was usually on their bottoms!!! When you begin you will follow the NISA Skate UK Programme for more information on Skate UK please click on the link.
The club is run by a voluntary committee who are dedicated to all it´s members and endeavours to provide a happy club with every member being equal. Our coaches and helpers have a strict no favouritism policy and they are prepared to help you with all your skating needs, now and in the future.
Club Times
Friday − beginners up to Gold Star 5.45pm − 7.45pm
Lessons begin at 5.45 PM
Sunday − Gold Star upwards 11.45am − 1.45pm
Groups 3 and 4 on Sunday 11.15am - 1.45pm
Lessons begin at 12.45pm
(Sunday can only be attended by members who have passed gold and have been allocated a place from a waiting list)
Club Fees
First week FREE
Thereafter you can attend for three weeks at a fee of £3.50 then a membership should be applied for.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES
This is renewable on 1st of March and must be paid by the Club´s end of financial year 31st March

Family Membership £15
A one off payment for club handbook with first membership £3
This is a new website for the club and is still in the process of being put together so please bear with us. If you can think of anything that you may like to add, or think that the site could benefit from, then please contact a committee member either at the club, or alternatively by email which can be obtained from the links along the side.

Make new friends.
Disco at the end of every session on a Friday night
Themed nights throughout the year such as Christmas parties, Halloween discos and seasonal themed nights
Able to participate in fundraising events such as sponsored walks and also fashion shows.
All levels of skaters are able to participate in Christmas Shows that are presented to the public in December
Annual Club competitions where everybody gets to take away a medal or trophy regardless of level of skating.
